Head Coach and CEO David Messer
Head Coach David Messer has dedicated his life to serving others for over 45 years. He has served the families of Kentucky through youth and children's ministry, school social work, is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and monitored foster care and child abuse prevention programs in his practice as a social work professional. He was appointed by the governor as a Kentucky Colonel, a now retired University Professor of Social Work. His love for coaching and mentored youth athletes for the last 4 decades, and his love for archery has led him to fulfill a dream. That dream is Kentucky Elite Archery Academy - an exclusively designed archery development program for youth. Since 2004, he has coached archery and holds archery coaching certifications through the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP), is an Advanced Scholastic 3DA (S3DA) Instructor, a USA Archery Level 3-NTS Coach, Head Coach of Kentucky Elite Junior Olympic Archery Develop Program (JOAD), certified with USA Archery as an Instructor Trainer, and teaches using the National Training System of our USA National Olympic and Paralympic teams.
Coach Briley Hearrin
Coach Hearrin is a well-seasoned BAREBOW competitor, who has competed on the national stage with USA Archery, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, and in the Mid-South NAIA Conference. Coach Hearrin’s impressive resume includes TEN (10) National Collegiate gold medal titles in 3D, indoor target, and outdoor target in women’s barebow individual, team and mixed teams. Her most impressive archery success was the 2017 Women’s Collegiate Barebow Indoor National Title on stage in Las Vegas. Rounding out her archery career were another impressive 3 National silver medals, 4 National bronze medals, All American honors, and NAIA Champions of Character. Coach Hearrin holds her BA in Education, her USA Archery Level I NTS Certification, and is BIA Certified with the National Archery in the Schools program.
